Who is Rick Warner?

Rick Warner has been in the Adult Entertainment Business since the early 1980's. He began working for Catalina Video and Legendary Director/Producer Bill Higgins. Rick learned his craft well along with a Film School Degree and helped create some of the early Catalina/Higgins classics often considered by many to be some of the best of the best. Additionally he worked for several other major Adult companies including Vivid Men, All Worlds, YMAC/Avalon to name a few...

Rick tired of working for others and longed for creating his own productions and Directing. Surfside Studios was created with this in mind. Says Rick, "It was just the next logical step. We started Surfside and never looked back." "Having Surfside gave me the opportunity to cast models and looks I needed to create and bring alive the fantasies of the Surfer, Rocker & Boy Next Door Types that our customers wanted". Rick plans to digitally remaster and re edit and Release a new Directors Special Edition Classic Series from his earlier work from the 90's. These will be an edition with not such a polished look but more raw action with my personal comments and narration and insights to some of my favorite models and what really went on... The story behind the story... Look for this re issued series beginning Summer of 2008.

To this day Rick Warner has a well branded loyal following of fans who enjoy his steamy lens work & Direction and attention to detail, "the torn jeans, bad boy look, longhair and barefoot Surfers". We shoot in the Pro-Am format says Rick. "Pro in the sense of attention to lighting and technical quality and amateur in the sense of keeping the models an look real. I don't want everything to be rehearsed and perfect." "Besides when your shooting an 19-25 yr old guys it is just so much more natural when you don't hand them a script." "The guys actually have fun on my set".

Rick took several years sabbatical to be a good son and provide the best health care possible for his aged Mom stricken with Alzheimer's. "It was important for me to see that she had the best possible care in her final years." So if some of you have wondered why you haven't heard from Rick Warner in the last few years, now you know.
